Some days don't go according to plan and that's exactly when the real magic happens.
Today time slipped through my fingers faster than I expected. But instead of dwelling on what didn't get done, I want to talk about something more important: how time constraints can actually make you better.
I commit to only 3 focus hours a day for this challenge. And here's what I've noticed: when you artificially shorten your available time, something shifts.
Time stops being just a measurement. It becomes a filter.
Time as a Decision-Making Filter
When you know you only have 3 hours, you can't afford to waste 30 minutes on busywork. Every task has to earn its place on your list.
For some people, shortened timelines create panic. Their to-do lists grow longer, more frantic.
But there's another way: let the constraint force you to think about meaningful, compounded effort.
I often ask myself: What can I do today that will give me back more time in the future?
Making Your Work Work FOR You
Today's a perfect example. I'm on day 2 of 3 solo parenting days in a row. I didn't finalize the assets I wanted. I didn't check off half my list.
But I did finalize my weekly YouTube video, the cornerstone of my YouTube-first content strategy.
And that single piece of content is now scheduled through Tuesday, working for me while I'm focused elsewhere.
That's the shift: from doing more work to making your work do more.
When you don't have an 8-hour day (or even a 3-hour day), you stop asking "what should I do?" and start asking "what will multiply my time?"
Tomorrow I've got Kyro, my 4-year-old, home all day. No childcare on Fridays for him.
He got his Halloween costume today (a turtle!) . This is him standing next to his tortoise, Junior. Junior is hiding under the stairs. Lyla (my 9 YO created a 3D elephant for him)
Look at this cutie. This isn’t his normal smile, but you know how kids LOVE a good hard smile. LOL

Expect a shorter newsletter, possibly written in 15-minute increments between snack requests and turtle impressions.
But you know, constraints breed creativity, right?
See you tomorrow,
Nesh
P.S.
Are you dressing up (or your kids) for Halloween? I’m thinking of being Jim from 28 Days Later…ha!
